The collaboration between Miami’s James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Schwartz and Royal Caribbean International began in 2011 with seasonal tasting menus at 150 Central Park, the fine dining restaurant aboard Oasis of the Seas.

Known for his commitment to cooking sustainably at flagship Miami restaurant, Michael’s Genuine® Food & Drink, Michael was the natural choice to help the cruise line select and integrate fresh, high quality ingredients into the supply chain by leveraging his relationships with South Florida farmers and beyond. Sister ship Allure of the Seas shortly followed. Now with a new class of ship in the yard in 2014, Michael goes back to the roots of his rustic, neighborhood American bistro that started it all – with the fresh, simple and straightforward food and drink diners have come to embrace and crave most.

Whether for lunch, a midday bite, happy hour, dinner, or late night, the gastropub fits snugly into the Quantum Class esplanade serving up a cozy atmosphere with jazz in the air and a lively vibe in addition to its menu. The Pub takes reservations and walk-ins are welcome.  Anthem of the Seas has added two televisions that will be tuned to popular live sporting events. Grab a pint and some chile chicken wings, and settle in!  The Pub is also the exclusive retail outlet onboard for hats, t-shirts, branded tumbler glasses and Michaelʼs cookbook. When in stock, all items are available for sale on-site during hours of operations.

The involvement of Carl Myers, Chef’s longtime friend and designing artist synonymous with the Michael’s Genuine look, was essential in bringing the Pub to life the genuine way. Thanks to Carl’s unique perspective and creativity, a new edition of his signature mosaic portraits are coming to life inspired by the local farms that feed Michael’s passion in the kitchen.
