The Cypress Room is Michael’s third restaurant in Miami’s Design District, a nod to the spirit of classic 1920s fine dining in polished food, service and décor. The menu centers around the kitchen’s wood-burning grill and rotisserie, offering elegant American cuisine with French touches using the freshest, highest quality ingredients, hand-picked from america’s best small farmers, foragers, and fishermen. Daily tasting menus are offered for lunch and dinner.
Since Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink first opened in Miami’s Design District in 2007, with an outpost in Grand Cayman in 2010, diners have come to embrace and crave its refreshing combination of laid-back atmosphere and seriously good food, a neighborhood bistro that is the ultimate showcase for the type of cuisine that Michael Schwartz does best – homemade and straightforward, with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. The brand’s now officially trademarked beer, Michael’s Genuine Home Brew®, is craft-brewed in Gadsden, Alabama by Back Forty Beer Company with Florida-grown brown rice and sugarcane. Michael’s Genuine® Pub, the first American gastropub on the high seas, offers the best of our flagship restaurant’s savory and sweet snacks, craft cocktails and beer including the chef’s own Michael’s Genuine Home Brew, as well as wine and spirits with attention paid to artisanal sources.
From seasonally-inspired pizzas from the wood-burning oven to a welcoming counter where local and craft beers freely flow, our Miami Design District joint radiates the relaxed, unpretentious vibe on which Michael’s Genuine has built its reputation.
Genuinely Royal. Since 2011, Michael has partnered with Royal Caribbean to incorporate produce from small, family-owned Florida farms into its supply chain.
